President / Founder Dewana founded VLRD Management Group after having successfully assisted friends, family members, and colleagues in negotiating and resolving their enormous tax debt. Her ability to assist individuals who were struggling with tax debt and compliance became a “love work” based on the tremendous impact her work had on families in her community helping to eliminate the tremendous financial burden associated with debt. As result of her directorial and managerial roles in the nonprofit sector over several decades, she grew the company’s portfolio of services to include grant management (administration, compliance, reporting, prospecting), financial services (bookkeeping and accounting), and human resources management. Through these roles, she was able to be a catalyst in helping community-based nonprofit organizations secure funding that they typically would not pursue which allowed them to provide creative and impactful services to their communities. Dewana is a graduate of Morgan State University where she earned a B.S. Degree in Management, Stevenson University where she earned a Master’s in Business & Technology Management, and Wake Forest University, Master in Business and Compliance Law (2024).
